"How much should I charge?"
I run into this question several times a day from women, who are confused about their own value.
Whether you are starting or growing your business, asked to consult on a project outside of work based on your expertise or negotiating your salary - it is important to ask for what you deserve.
We are living through an unprecedented time due to the impact of the global pandemic, which has reshaped the world. However, as we are gradually beginning to adjust to our new normal, it is important now more than ever to master the art of articulating what you deserve and asking for it - unapologetically!
I have been in circles with some of the most powerful women leaders, even celebrities, who have struggled with this problem - all of the confidence in the world and can't figure out a number.
Then, there are those who always want to help everyone and never want to come across as "money hungry," "greedy," or too expensive.
In fact, money is a boundary!
It's a healthy boundary! It determines access and a discernible variable between you and people who don't respect time.
Also, if people are willing to pay top dollar for exotic cars, handbags, homes, etc., then there is a market for you.
You are just expecting something different from people who want to pick your brain, rather than rent your time.
